RCA BK-5A Vintage Ribbon Mic
Mic ribbon appears to be original. This BK-5a is from 50's-60s. It functions well although it looks fairly well used these mics were built tough. Cable housing is old and cracked and could use replacing for use in a professional environment but it still works fine. The shock mount is detached from the yoke that connects to the mic needs a nut/bolt of some sort. This mike will work in a fairly generic shock mount also as the body is fat like a large condenser mic.
The RCA BK5 work exceptionally well on drums and famously a electric guitar secret weapon. These microphones were designed intentionally to handle hight SPL and are hypercardiod in nature, both unusual characteristics of a ribbon mic!
